Capsonart Publishing proudly presents our AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT initiative and today we are so excited to RE-introduce Capsonart Founder and Owner Alitta PS Cadmus (aka Pauline S Cadmus)
ABOUT AUTHOR PAULINE S CADMUS
Pauline S Cadmus
(aka Alitta PS Cadmus)
is the owner and founder of Capsonart Publishing.
When I started this journey with Capsonart, it never crossed my mind that it would become an actual business where I would be responsible—the steward—of someone else's story. During my studies in school, my focus was on the intricacies and facets of creative writing. My plan was to write books, work a 9 to 5 job, get married, and live a “good life.” Writing as a career, much less owning a publishing company, was never part of "my" plan, but it became a dream, a vision I couldn’t wake up from. It has become a call that I have found myself surrendering to, and I can honestly say, I don’t regret it.
Storytelling in all its forms is something that makes me come alive; when I write a story plot, the world takes its own shape before me. I have always found pleasure in watching my characters come alive, hearing the texture of their voices, and seeing where their paths take them. I love it when I write something, leave it alone for a while, and then revisit it. It's in those moments that I hear what the story is saying and can respond by giving it what it needs as the writer.
Capsonart Publishing has challenged me in more ways than I can say out loud. It has taught me so much about what it means to listen more and go to that place where the realities of our stories can be valued. One of the major lessons that I continue to take with me on this pathway is to “not despise small beginnings.” When a seed is planted or a brick is laid, it needs time to develop and grow into what it is meant to be for the future and generations to come.
I stand on this word that God has given me and encourage every writer out there with this: “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)
If God has called you to write, He will give you what you need to complete your divine assignment.
Capsonart Publishing is in its growth phase, and we are focused on laying our foundation and ensuring every brick that is laid is secured and set right so that we can stand as the publishing house God has designed us to be. For this year we are focused on supporting our in-house writers and developing the exciting new books we have coming out in the near future.
Personally, I am dedicated to the "Chasing Cloud" book series, a historical fiction set in the late 1950s. This story has been in the works for some time and is a project near and dear to me. I cannot wait for its release in Winter 2025.
Where ever you are and whatever time you read this, please take it from me who has been and is there, don't slack your writing.
