Welcome to another Wednesday.
To our fellow writers, readers, and friends:
With the wheels turning , Capsonart Publishing proudly presents our AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT initiative.

This is our way of showcasing and acknowledging upcoming authors and the work they do. On our social media platforms, we will be showcasing our authors as well as the books they have produced and are currently working on.
At the beginning of our journey as a publishing house and the process of developing our literary ministry, we were learning what it meant to value the process of writing and the vulnerability it takes to own and tell our story. With our upcoming authors, we recognized how important it is to provide the support needed for them to discover their unique voices. Just as importantly, we acknowledge the challenges (the kinks) of writing to be smoothed out as they need to be.
In today’s post we share a brief bio of our authors writing journey, where they are now, and shed a spotlight on the books they got coming out as we are progressing as a family of writers to launch Capsonart Publishing.

With the development of our ongoing behind-the-scenes efforts, we are blessed and excited to kickstart Author Spotlight by reintroducing our Legacy Writers,
Mel M. Walters and Pauline S. Cadmus.

To date, they have launched a podcast series on our YouTube channel where samples of their debut publication,
“I Want to Sing Your Song,” are shared for all to enjoy and experience.

Walters and Cadmus’s incredible creativity and captivating stories are set to grace your bookshelves with our upcoming book launches. Much like a story plot that follows the pathway of a hero’s journey, the “call” to write and their journey to become esteemed authors are as unique and compelling as the narratives they create.
ABOUT AUTHOR MEL M WALTERS

During her tender years as a child, Mel M. Walters developed a creativity and passion for writing songs. Her confidence to sing alongside her writing magnified as she became more involved in her church community, singing in the choir, directing praise and worship, and leading in her own way to sing for the Lord.
Over time, Walters' craft for writing emerged when she attended university in 2015 and took creative classes. While fictional writing was not her niche, she maintained her craft by contributing a few article pieces for a faith-based newspaper. During the onset of the pandemic, Walters joined her sister to write a book now known as "I Want to Sing Your Song." With her gift for arranging song lyrics and her tremendous gift for singing, the book was formed by combining songs she had freshly written and songs she had penned years ago.
With the experience of publishing and co-authoring "I Want to Sing Your Song," Mel moved on to start working on her next book, "Formed In My Mother's Womb." Drawing from her experiences of loss and pain, Walters has channeled her energy into crafting a book that speaks to the heart of every parent who has a child.
Set to be released in 2025, "Formed In My Mother's Womb" is an emblem of prayers dedicated to parents, guardians, and anyone who understands the value of praying for our children.

Mel M. Walters is married to her amazing husband, Joshua Walters, and they both serve in their church community in similar and varying capacities. She has become a legacy writer for Capsonart Publishing, and her contribution to its growth has tremendously set the bar for who Capsonart is to be.

AUTHOR PAULINE S CADMUS

Founder and owner of Capsonart Publishing Pauline S Cadmus (aka Alitta P.S Cadmus) has had a long developed passion for creative writing. In 2001, she began writing fan-fiction stories purely for fun. Driven by curiosity about the craft, she wrote a story for her brother, gradually becoming an enthusiastic fan who immersed herself in a safe, creative space. She joined forums where like-minded writers shared stories without judgment or criticism, where typos and grammar were secondary to the storytelling itself. Pauline spent countless hours writing in her room, even though she was unaware of the term "creative writing" at the time. Concepts such as protagonists and antagonists were unfamiliar to her.
Over the years, Cadmus pursued her career as an author and attended KPU to complete her associate's degree in creative writing. During her education, as she learned the intricacies of writing a manuscript, she began working on two specific book projects. Alongside her prose, Cadmus also explored poetry and attended poetry readings, sharing her work in public spaces.
In 2019, upon graduating, Cadmus embarked on "I Want to Sing Your Song" with Mel M. Walters. Combining their skills in songwriting and poetry, they created a book that would soon pave the way for the formation of Capsonart Publishing.
To date, Cadmus is focused on her writing, spending time with her family, and being actively involved in her church community. Her goal is to make a great impact and inspire individuals to own and share their stories. Additionally, she has partnered with her mother to integrate creative writing with health and wellness.
Pauline currently lives in BC with her family and is dedicated to building Capsonart Publishing into a ministry that supports writers called to write for God. She is also working on a book series titled "Chasing Clouds," set to launch in 2025.

Chasing Clouds" is a historical genre set in the backdrop of the 1950s. The book explores themes of times and seasons, where individuals make choices that leave long-lasting generational impacts.
