Laying Our Foundations: Book Productivity

WE ARE TRULY GRATEFUL to have made it this far in the year.

For the past months our efforts have been concentrated in reestablishing, and laying our foundation right. Continuing in that same pathway, we stand on the word of God that emphasizes:


"The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: Forsake not the works of thine own hands.

| Psalm 138:8 KJV"


The last month, which concluded last week, marks a unique time for us at Capsonart Publishing.

Our “actions” and “progress” involved establishing our brand and who we are by simply posting content and showcasing our upcoming authors and the books in production.


As the month of August transitions in, we are continuing in the same vein to maintain our consistency and commitment for the work at hand.

GROWTH AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

From our posts last year, 2023, we shared our story of how Capsonart was conceptualized, and like every story, we presented the beginning, middle, and “not so” end.  


This year, 2024, our story continues, and our prize is simply 'growth' and 'character development.


Anyone who is a seasoned writer in the creative writing world will tell you that character development is vital to the quality of your story.

A character, whether a protagonist or antagonist, must be different from how they are introduced at the beginning. This change could be for the better or for the worse. Characters need to have depth, allowing the audience to engage with them as they embark on their journey in the story.


Even minor characters who don't say anything play a role in the main character's story. We can personally tell you that a flat character makes for a flat story. 


CAPSONARTS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS SO KEY TO WHAT WE ARE DOING.  


Strategically, intentionally, methodically, and prayerfully, we are working behind the scenes to excavate, lay our foundation, and carefully place our bricks to build a publishing house. Our top value is to 'house' the ministry of writers who are called by God to 'type, write it down, not for later…and finish it.

With our launch phase in full operation, here are a few of our KICKSTARTERS that we launched this year on a small scale.


Our Online Bookshop 

Our online bookshop is now open, with books available for pre-order. Some titles will have a waitlist option for when they are released and available for purchase. We will be consistently updating the shop with our books available for pre-order. In addition to our books, we will offer some other wonderful goodies for purchase.

Rewriting the Narrative 2023/2024

In partnership with Hope Connect Counselling Services, we launched our first health and wellness hybrid retreat. As we are passionate about the arts, we also believe in the impact of creative arts. During this event, participants were able to explore the narratives, both good and bad, that impacted their lives. Through a variety of activities, workshops allowed participants to tap into their creative side while providing educational materials and presentations to help illuminate the facets of both the spiritual and physical nature of our humanity.


With its initial success, RTN will return in Fall/Winter 2024!

Podcast Series

We initiated our podcast series with I Want to Sing Your Song with Cadmus & Walters. In this series, co-authors Pauline and Mel share sample reads of their debut publication, the 40-Day Devotional “I Want to Sing Your Song.” Each day explores relatable subject matters to encourage believers in their faith walk.

As part of our social media engagement, we are showcasing our authors and their book projects, which are indeed the flagship of Capsonart Publishing’s launch phases.

Our end is truly the beginning of a new chapter. The epilogue of our new series of steps and pathways require our faith and courage to move forward  and not look back. The end is what makes or breaks your story because it embodies the principle that "the end justifies the means."

The struggles, the pain, and the growth will all be worth it because the prize is at the end of the pathway. We are continuing to look ahead and build our story “brick by brick” as we launch forward with our narratives.
